Going home

Yepp today is the last day on my trip around the world and I have not been the best blogger the last days, not as good as I want too as I actually do love it. It takes it toll being on the move all the time and going from continent to continent in such a short time, it makes you not able too adjust to the time difference. So I have been so tired all the time, maybe going the otherway around the world might have been better. I do not regret doing this it have been such a h*ll of a ride and it is my 'once in the life time trip' so it will not happen again

I will do a final blog on all the destinations when I am home again in Sweden, do some reflection on what I have seen and experience, maybe it can help some of you guys out there.

Internet speed so fast but ...

...when youtubing it sucks? It must be somekind of blocking of youtube? Why is that???
I have hard time seeing any video and now uploading a video will take forever. But have a look at the speed below, all other websites are fast but not the youtube site.

Edit: I did a cancel and restarted the upload and it was much faster ... do not know why but it is ;-)

New York, I love the city

I have not been to many places around the city of New York however I love it. What a city!!! Yesterday I walked around the Manhattan shoreline 'Battery park' and ... well actually I do not know. I was justs lucky too see the 'World trade center' and then I knew were my hotel was so I could get back ;-) I had a good walk of 3-4 hours and here are some pictures of my walk.

When is Gay Pride in NYC?

Gay Pride events occur throughout the month of June, culminating with the NYC Pride March on Sunday, June 26, 2016.

I do not mind but it is on Manhattan where I stay so my Sunday plans changed from taking it easy and doing nothing to be looking at 1.6 MILLION of gays ;-) 

Manhanttan is big so it will actually not be nearby my hotel.

NY lunch

I will not do much today as my jetlag is heavy ... again ... but got out and had lunch and some beers at a nearby biergarten there were lots of people there so I had a good look at the 'local' people, people watching is something I like to do ... just sit down, relax, do nothing just watch. ;-)

One of my bucket list items is too have a bratwurtz with sourecraute in New York and here it is, taste like shit but you can live on it.

So big ... well I am in US ;-)

I finally found a hotel that I think could be fine too stay at. I have not so much research about hotels in NY but found it difficult to make out which are ok and price is fine by me. I just stumbled on this hotel and I am happy with the choice.

You turn on the TV with the 'off' button ... WTF?

0-4 fan speed, 0 is off, 4 is lowest and 1 is fastest ... WTF!?!?

Great bicycle ride today

Wednesday morning a rented a bicycle for 15 Dollars at the hotel, it is one of those 'cool rides' I do not know the name of bicycles. For 15D you get a 4 hours rental, for 25D you get a full day. But as I knew I needed too go back to hotel and watch the Swedish football game, which they lost, I only got the 15D deal.

I started of at 8am and returned at 11am so the 'street' had not yet come too life so too say, but actually that is better than fighting thru masses of people. 

1. ride to Santa Monica pier, at 8am

2. past the pier for some km, nothing too see

3. got back to pier

4. strolled around empty pier, watched some fishermen, just enjoyed being there

5. had an energy drink from a wendingmachine, 4 f*cking bucks, still I needed it ;-)

6. ride back to Venice

7. thought why not go all the way to Venice Fishing pier as well

8. Venice Fishing pier, no did not get on too it

9. had a look at 'Muscle beach' were Arnold S. ate his "ryss femmor", anabola pills

10. ride to 'Davy Jones Liguor Locker' for beers

11. headed back to hotel, 11 am

Cadillac Hotel pictures

Cadillac hotel is located directly at the beach walkway and at the rooftop is a sundeck. So it is "ON" the beach so to say. It could be a bit loud sometimes, specially in the morning time as the restuarant below is starting placing the chairs and table at the right location at 5am so everything is ready for breakfast time and of course they have too remove all of these pieces at 11pm. The sundeck can be a bit of annoying as well, my room is directly below so when children run around or chairs are relocated it sounds like 'thunder'.

View from hotel at night. The 'garbage' on the street is actually somekind of area were the play streetmusic ... and more ... homeless guy has slept there I have notice.

LA first night oooh my ...

I had late checkin at the Cadillac hotel last night and as I had not slept for many hours perhaps one hour on the plane, so I did not go out last just stayed in at hotelroom. I checked internetspeed, did some blogging and updating myself on whats going around the world.

I have a pretty good view over the beach walking road except for the moscitonet blocking the view to some extent.

Let me tell some of the things that happened last night, not in my hotelroom but on the street below.
1. there is a crazy bozo living on the street, shouting, being polite, SCREEMING, ... I have a view to   this 'area'

2. there were 2 drunks shouting towards each other and finally had a fistfight, according too people on the street that I could hear saying that, I did not see it myself.

3. 2 younger girls were 'treated ill', I do not what happened but the police came.

4. all together there were 3 policecars and one firetruck, they check one of the girls, she seemed abit chocked.

Conclusion is: do not be out after dark!!!

Good or bad in LA?

Yes I am finally in LA and also have already arrived to the hotel, upcoming post soon.

I directly checked the internet speed and I can blog ... Whooohoo! Pretty nice speed, upload speed is the most important for me. It was so bad connection at the hotel in Honolulu. 

Cannot sleep going to LA

I woke up at 2 am and tried sleeping but could not. So enoying well perhaps I can sleep on the flight to LA, it is less than 6 hours so hopefully I get some sleep. So instead now I have watched some youtube videos from guys living in Thailand(my favorite country) and now I actually also have a coffee ;-). I go to the airport a bit earlier today as I am already awake and perhaps avoid some traffic as I have read about yesterday evening.

I end this unplanned blogpost with some picture of my big hotelroom as of now.

Pros:

1. near beach

2. big room

3. kitchenett

4. stores nearby

5. ATM at reception

Cons:

1. you can hear your neighbor(easy)

2. only one small elevator

3. no restaurant, one wending machine only

Leaving Honolulu, Hawaii tomorrow

After having such a jetlag or whatever it is, for several days now I am going tomorrow too LOS ANGELES, the city of angels!!! I hope I will be much alert and energetic, I've been so tired in Honolulu, did not do much things. I had long walks exploring the surroundings, each walk could last anything from 1.5-3 hours and sometimes 2 a day. Otherwise the bed was really comfortable, I need a new bed at home ;-)
